OKBET 10-BALL | AMIT DESTROYED IN PREDATOR WORLD WOMEN’S 10-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Amber Chen, the winner of the Predator Canada Open, maintained her perfect record in the Predator World Women’s 10-Ball Championship to advance to the winners’ qualification round, while current champion Rubilen Amit was eliminated after losing to Ina Kaplan 7-5.

With her victory over Szu Ting Kuo, Jasmin Ouschan earned her second straight 7-2 victory. Kelly Fisher, Chieh-Yu Chou, and Eylul Kibaroglu were among those who continued to be on the winners’ side going into Thursday’s qualifying round.

There was no such drama for tournament host Ouschan, who put in a solid effort for her second victory. Allison Fisher was pushed all the way to hill-hill by Claudia von Rohr before clinching a 7-6 victory.

The lag was won by Kuo, but a dry break brought Ouschan to the table right away, and she cleared it to take the lead right away. Ouschan made it 2-1 with a superb leap on the 6 and it was soon 3-1 when Kuo left herself with too much to do on the 10 and let Ouschan a straightforward finish. Kuo was able to react right away.

Kuo’s luck ran out when she scratched on her break and was left with little choice but to sit and watch as Ouschan widened her advantage. The player from Chinese Taipei, Kuo, was able to bring the score back to 5-2, but a hit-and-hope attempt to double bank the four in the following rack failed. To make matters worse for Kuo, position was left ideal for Ouschan, who made it 6-2.

Kuo made a good jump shot after her next break, but her ensuing safety scored an uncalled 5. When Ouschan missed and scratched on the 4, she had another opportunity, but she blew it with a 9-ball leap, which ended up being her final move of the game.

Ouschan remarked, “I believe my performance was even better than yesterday. “It’s always challenging to compete against a strong Taiwanese player. Given that Kuo is among the greatest in the world, the second match will not be simple. But so far, I’m pleased with my performance. The safety game and some of the kicking may be improved, but otherwise, everything is perfect.

“I’ll evaluate it and give it another shot tomorrow. It’s time for the team now, so I’m content with how things have gone so far and will bring that enthusiasm with me to the team game.

“I received roses from a spectator who approached me and thanked me for providing her with so many magical experiences. That was such a beautiful comment, in my opinion. And, you know, that fuels my motivation and energy. It’s wonderful that what I do enables me to interact with and help individuals.

On one feature table, where Ouschan was winning, April Larson and Chia Hua ‘Amber’ Chen were competing. Larson had to take signals from Tyler Styer due to a delayed bag, but it didn’t appear to bother her as she put up a strong performance for the USA on Tuesday night in the Teams Championship.

After winning the Predator Canada Open, Chen’s first overseas trip since the epidemic, she once again displayed her talent and poise by moving ahead of Larson at 2-2 and won 7-3.

The most recent World 10-Ball Championship

Rubilen Amit, who triumphed in the most recent World 10-Ball Championship, which was held in the Philippines in 2013, will now have to advance from the losers’ side after falling to Kaplan of Germany 7-5.

Thursday’s competition resumes at 9 a.m. with three further rounds, including the winners’ qualifying.
